1 - 19 oz box of brownie mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup chopped nuts, pecans or walnuts
1 - 12 oz pkg semisweet chocolate chips
1 - 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
In large bowl, combine brownie mix, butter, water and eggs; beat 50 strokes with spoon. Add oats and nuts; mix well.
In microwave or on stove top, combine chocolate chips and condensed milk. Heat until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
Spread half of brownie batter in greased pan. Spread chocolate mixture over batter. Drop remaining brownie mixture by teaspoonfuls over chocolate layer. Brownie mixture will not completely cover chocolate layer.
Bake at 350 degrees for 29 to 33 minutes or until brownie topping feels dry and edges begin to pull away from sides of pan. Do not overbake! Cool 2 hours, then refrigerate for an hour before cutting into bars.
