Rhubarb Tea Bread

2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs

1-1/2 cups diced rhubarb
In a large bowl, combine flour,sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and nutmeg.

Melt butter, remove from heat, stir in orange juice and milk. Beat in eggs. Stir orange juice mixture into flour mixture until moistened. Fold in rhubarb. Spoon into a greased and floured loaf pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely. For better slicing, wrap in foil or plastic wrap tightly and let stand overnight.
