Oreo Brownies

After tasting this in a restaurant, I combined portions of two recipes to create my own version.
Brownie ingredients:
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt

White filling:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1-3 ounce package of cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar

Topping:
6 Oreo cookies
In a bowl, combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt and add to the egg mixture; mix well. Transfer to a greased baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean--do not overbake. Cool on a wire rack.

For the filling, beat butter and cream cheese using a mixer. Add vanilla and powerded sugar. Beat thoroughly. Spread on top of cooled brownie.

Put the 6 Oreo cookies in a plastic bag and crush with rolling pin. Sprinkle on top of white filling.
