Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups oatmeal
3/4 cup chopped peanuts or pecans
1-1/2 cups mini M&M's
In a mixing bowl, beat peanut butter and butter with an electric mixer 30 seconds. Add sugars, baking powder and soda; beat till combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in oats, then nuts and candy pieces.

Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 11-13 minutes or till edges are light brown. Cool for 1 minute, then transfer to wire rack or sheet of aluminum foil; cool.
I use chuncky peanut to eliminate the need to purchase extra nuts. I also use the small scoop from Pampered Chef to make the perfect size cookie.
