My son's favorite candy bar makes a great cookie!
1-1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco shortening
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
4 - 1.5 oz. Kit Kat candy bars coarsely chopped
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips, chopped
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg; beat well until fluffy and light in color.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to shortening mixture; beat at low speed just until blended.
Stir chopped Kit Kat candy bars and milk chocolate chips into dough using wooden spoon just until distributed throughout the dough.
Using the large cookie dough scoop from Pampered Chef (or tablespoon) drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly by patting dough.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned. Do not over bake! Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to cooling racks to cool completely.
Makes approximately 34 cookies.
