Double Chocolate Cookies

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 tablespoon milk

2-1/4 cups flour
1/3 cup Hershey's or Nestle's cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Approximately 55 Hershey Kisses (unwrapped and with or without Almonds) or chocolate stars

Extra granulated sugar in a small bowl for rolling the one inch balls of dough in
Beat butter, sugars and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed in large bowl until well blended. Add eggs and milk; beat well.

Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into butter mixture, beating until well blended.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 - 11 minutes or until set. Remove from oven and gently press an unwrapped chocolate kiss or star into the center of each cookie. Remove to wire rack and cool completely.
Makes approximately 55 cookies.
